At the urging of the BC Construction Association, April 2018 was officially proclaimed Construction & Skilled Trades Month in BC by the Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. For the first time ever, industry came together to celebrate the many British Columbians working in the skilled trades, and the employers who support them.
This symposium brought together over 200 builders, scientists, and policy makers to tackle the challenges of hazard mitigation and increased resilience in the industrial, commercial, and institutional built environment.
Construction Month 2018 welcomed BC’s builders (and the integral networks of suppliers, manufacturers, professionals, retailers, and organizations that support them), to celebrate the important contribution our industry makes to BC communities — and to the provincial economy.
You Did. Whether you’re a labourer, tradesperson, contractor, owner, manufacturer, supplier, an industry organization, or government agency, you played a key role in making April 2018 a huge success.
An integral part of #CoastalGasLink construction is our Construction Monitor & Community Liaison (CMCL) program. Meet a few of the #Indigenous CMCL advisors who are preserving & sharing their cultural knowledge across the project. #builtright #constructionmonthbc @thisisBCCA
