For the 9th consecutive year, BC is expected to proclaim April as “Construction and Skilled Trades Month.” It’s the perfect time to take a moment to celebrate and thank the hard workers across our industry who create and maintain our built environment.

Members of BCCA’s integrated association network (NRCA, SICA, VICA, VRCA), are eligible to secure a grant of $250, or $500 towards a lunch from a restaurant in your local area.

This is a great way to celebrate construction month by showing your appreciation for your hard-working crew, while at the same time supporting your local business community.

Applications for the #LunchBoxCelebration grant are now open! We encourage you to apply to celebrate your hardworking crew by treating them to lunch in April — on us.

Events

Along with lunches around the province throughout the month of April, there will also be several by-invite regional events, the BCCA Leadership Reception, and more!

April also marks our annual visit to the Legislature in Victoria — the home of our provincial government. Each year, construction leaders from across the province come together to bring forward recommendations to the Premier, Ministers, and MLAs on how to strengthen our industry, workforce, and economy.

These events are a great way to get involved, show your support for the construction industry, and celebrate the hardworking men and women who build a strong, resilient BC.
